The Morris Family is near and dear to my heart. I have been photographing their family, and their sweet daughter Marlee for a few years now. At Marlee's last Birthday Session, Brittanie said that she had some news that she would like to announce :) The Morris Family was expecting! Marlee announced that she was going to be a BIG SISTER through her 3 year photo session.

When I began photographing births, we decided pretty early on that we would definitely be documenting the birth of Marlee's little brother, Scout! I was so excited when the day finally arrived and we were going to meet this sweet little guy.

Marlee was super excited to meet her new little brother. She was very comforting to her mom, making sure she gave her lots of love before the birth began.

Now a little later in the afternoon, Brittanie progressed pretty quickly. She was a 5 at one check, then at the next a 9! We knew it wouldn't be long until her first push!

Brittanie worked super hard, pushing for over an hour. We knew the moment was here. We were all so anxious to see what Scout would look like and how much he would weigh! Dad couldn't wait to cut the cord!

 

Scout's First Moment in the World!

Scout arrived at 5:07p.m. He weighed 7lbs, 7 oz and was 20 and 3/4 inches long!

Of course, his Mom and Dad seeing him for the first time was a precious moment to document.

But none more precious than Marlee's.... The moment she came running through the door to meet her brother, I am pretty sure we were all in tears.

Scout had 25 anxious people in the waiting room dying to take a peek at him! I followed him into the nursery for some shots of his measurements after family held him.

Brittanie & Shawn, I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of such an amazing time in your family's life. You two make beautiful, precious and perfect children. I am honored and humbled to have shared this day with you guys. Love you tons!
